Our
Projects

UGANDA MARATHON FOUNDATION

In alignment with the United Nations Global Goals framework, The Uganda Foundation is dedicated to ensuring sustainable development, promoting economic and social empowerment and independence from aid.

This is achieved using a collaborative partnership approach as we work with people on the ground in Uganda and empower them with the skills, opportunities and resources they need to drive positive, long-lasting change for themselves and their communities.

OURLOOP supports the Uganda Foundation and every dollar raised is reinvested back into the Masaka community and projects.

PINKATHON

Things to Know:
  • About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.

  • About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have NO family history and no gene for breast cancer.

  • Healthy, athletic people with NO family history can and do get Breast Cancer.  I did.

  • For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer.

Why donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation?

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is the top-rated Breast Cancer charity in the USA. According to Charity Navigator.org,  90% of BCRF’s budget goes directly to support Breast Cancer research programs.

YOU can help us find a cure for breast cancer – One Mile and One Dollar at a Time! Please help OURLOOP support PINKATHON and BCRF fundraising goal of $50,000 before December 31, 2022 by Pledging a Mile!

MARATHON DES SABLES

RUNNING FOR A CAUSE

For the last three decades, all MARATHON DES SABLES participants have agreed: there’s no denying the physical performance, but the MDS experience is above all a human adventure. During those ten days in the Sahara, sharing is the driving force that helps you keep moving on.

OURLOOP Founder, Angelique Byrd, will be running for the project causes.  100% of donations and pledges will go to Uganda Foundation, Pink-A-Thon, and OURLOOP educational resources.

ONE WORLD RUNNING or SHoes for Kenya

SERVING RUNNERS IN NEED SINCE 1986. One World Running has collected, washed, and sent athletic shoes, along with T-shirts, shorts, medicine, and school supplies to developing countries. Additionally, a portion of the donated shoes goes to shelters, churches, and Native American reservations in the U.S.

To promote its goal of bringing people closer together through running and promoting a healthy lifestyle, OURLOOP supports One World Running by participating in run/walks in the receiving countries in conjunction with the shoe distribution.
